REI

It's REI! What more needs to be said?! All the best gear to take you all the best places. Great, helpful staff. Always clean, well stocked, and well lit. Bathrooms always clean and fully stocked. Very friendly staff here. It's almost like they enjoy working here. Weird. They will return anything. Even worn shoes. That's crazy.

Cole helped me with backpacking gear and was extraordinarily helpful. From stoves, to sleeping bags, to backpacks, pillows, etc. he was a wealth of knowledge, and his honesty and sense of humor were greatly enjoyed. Coming from someone who lives in the Pacific Northwest, this REI location should be abundantly grateful to have an employee this knowledgeable representing them in west Michigan. Give him a raise! Nice store, with allot of merchandise.... But these guys need to leave politics out of there business. From the minute i walked in, it was immediately clear this place is woke. Virtue signaling signs and merchandise everywhere declaring there woke stance and political views. Again nice store, just wish they would leave the wokeness out of it. I can't in good conscious support a business like this.

This morning (a Sunday) I was about to head out for a bike ride and realized my front V-brakes were acting weird. They needed a new noodle. I am confident enough to replace it (and the cable) but with time restrictions training for a cycling fundraiser, I figured a professional fix would do. All the local bike shops are closed so I took my bike to REI and was amazed with how quick it all was. They informed me about the prices, the service, and how long it would take to complete it. While I waited, I was able to browse the sales racks and wander around the store. I was in and out in 25 minutes with a new noodle and brake cable. I am incredibly grateful for the great work by the mechanics and the bike shop staff to serve me so quickly on a busy Sunday morning. Thanks again y'all! Also: some jerks posted about REI being "woke." Uh duh? Have you never been to an REI outlet before? They're progressive and support great causes that support people of all backgrounds and their outdoor adventures. If that seems left wing to you, maybe you have some growing to do!

What exceptional customer service. I had a catastrophic incident with my coat that I had for approximately 15 hours. Dan, the store manger, was kind and helped me figure out a solution. Needless to say the staff truly understands life happens and my partner and I will be returning to purchase all of our gear from here. Thank you so much.

Parker was excellent! As someone who works in sales/customer service, I can tell if someone is just doing their job or genuinely wants to help. I just came in to look for a pair of socks and he was so helpful and wanted to go the extra step and look for an additional pair for me. Granted it was a few rows down and he didn't need to do any heavy searching, but he was willing to look if necessary. Overall, excellent service!
